Although this page is under construction.......

.....It is mostly functional  =)  Even though the last updates were done on 31 JUL 2017, I do have more to do!  I have just not gotten them done yet  =)  But this page is still 'maintained' (as of 15 JUL 2018).   I'm slowly trying to get a few more things updated on here.

It has been a dream of mine for years to create a guide for collecting The Bobbsey Twins books.  Growing up in the 80's/90's, it was one of my favorite series' to read and collect.  If you magically happen upon this site, don't hold your breath for it to be completed anytime soon, as I am working on it from Afghanistan right now, with incredibly slow internet and without my books in front of me, and only limited pictures.  But I figured no better time than now to begin......

So, bare with me while I work on this.  It is *not* meant as a price guide for many reasons (although sometimes you may find general ideas of what you can expect to pay).  If you collect The Bobbsey Twins, then you probably already know that the series is not very collectable (unfortunately).  You can complete a collection very inexpensively if you're not picky about formats.  This page is meant to help identify and date what you have, plus open up your mind to what is out there for the Bobbsey Twins collector.

Currently some of the links below work.  Not all the corresponding pages have information yet.  There is a lot I have yet to add, and it will take time.  In the meantime, enjoy what is here  =)

Formats, editions and interesting printings
I've decided to remove "format" from most of my descriptions, because I don't want to conflict
with James Keeline, who already set up Grosset & Dunlap formats.  Maybe in time
I'll add formats below, but currently since I don't have cover stock as a factor in formats,
it's less confusing if I don't worry about formats.

This is a Grosset & Dunlap exterior on a Chatterton Peck interior.  More an anomaly than a format, but worth noting.
Sort of G&D format 0.5.

This format is very similiar to the following format.  The difference is the spine--this older format of dust jacket doesn't have the "for children of 5-10 years" symbol on it.

Picture
As stated above, this is very similiar to the previous format, but for the symbol on the spine of the dust jacket.
